Molybdenum
It is one of the transition metals and is in silvery white color and very hard in its pure form. Its melting temperature is quite high. Steel can be ensured to be much harder by adding a small amount of molybdenum in it. Molybdenum is also important in the nutrition of plants and takes place in some enzymes.
